Our Night at the Pops!
The country’s oldest music retailer, M. Steinert & Sons, celebrated their 150th anniversary with “M. Steinert & Sons Night at the Boston Pops” on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Company staff members and guests attended a pre-concert reception before M. Steinert & Sons president, Paul Murphy, was introduced on stage by maestro Keith Lockhart.

The evening’s Boston Pops performance was taped for broadcast by “From the Top,” the preeminent showcase for young musicians heard weekly on NPR stations across the country.

“We were pleased that we were able to celebrate our anniversary with our friends at the Pops, and with so many of our customers and friends,” said Paul Murphy, Jr., president of M. Steinert & Sons.

M. Steinert & Sons was founded in 1860 by Morris Steinert, and has been recognized as the oldest continuously operating music retailer in the United States.
